LBLBC Tournaments are organized for LBLBC members to compete with one another at the club level. Except for Novice Singles, Participants are awarded points towards the coveted "Bowler of the Year" honor. You automatically get 40 points for each tournament you bowl in and more if you place. In addition to points, you get cash if you place.

Cancelled Due To Coronavirus
Because the club is closed until further notice, the following LBLBC Club Tournaments have been cancelled:
- LBLBC Vet / Novice Triples, Mar 29. Note: All who have paid online via PayPal will receive an online refund.
- Four Bowl Mixed Pairs, Apr 26.
- Reinie Kramer Australian Pairs, May 23.

2019 LBLBC Club Tournaments
LBLBC Tournaments are organized for LBLBC members to compete with one another at the club level. Bowler Of The Year - Abe Pinnella
The ninth and final LBLBC tournament of the season, the LBLBC Mixed Triples (Blind Draw) decided who the Bowler of the year was. Coming into the tournament, Abe Pinnella and Tom Richeson were tied with Christian de Taillac 20 points behind and Kole Carr 60 points behind.
3 teams ended up with 3 wins and no losses. Abe's team was the team with the most plus points.
Abe did all of this despite missing the next to the last tournament because he was at Nationals in San Francisco competing for the Men's Pairs prize.
I would say an all around stellar year for Abe.

The ninth and final LBLBC tournament of the season was held Saturday October 26, 2019. The format was 3 10-end games of 3-bowl mixed triples, meaning there had to be a man and a woman on every team.

30 bowlers and 10 teams participated. The bowling started at 9:00am and it timed out to about 1:50 per game. That put lunch at about 12:50. After a 30 minute lunch, the 3rd and final games began ending around 3:20pm.

All 4 bowlers with a chance to win Bowler of the Year were participating: Abe, Tom, Christian, and Cole. The winner of this tournament turned out to win Bowler of the Year.

The eighth LBLBC tournament of the season was held Saturday September 27, 2019. The format was 3 8-end games of 4-bowl Australian Pairs.

This was the largest turnout of bowlers yet this year. 32 bowlers and 16 teams participated. The bowling started at 9:00am and it timed out to about 1:20 per game. That put lunch at exactly 12:00 noon.

Reinie's family and friends showed up for lunch, everybody gathered on the patio, some Reinie stories were told, a prayer from the grandchildren, and Reinie's bowl was rolled for the last time.

We had the lowest turnout of bowlers yet this year. Just 12 bowlers, 4 teams participated. But that resulted in a very interesting round-robin tournament where every team played every other team.

LBLBC hosted its sixth club tournament, 3-Bowl Pairs, on Sunday July 28th. The format was 3 10-end blind draw games.
We had a good turnout of 36 people (18 teams) to compete for a small cash prize and Bowler of the Year points.

LBLBC hosted its fifth club tournament, Novice Singles, on Sunday July 7th, The format was 3 blind draw games, first to 15 points wins.
We had a good turnout of 23 novices to compete for a small cash prize and more importantly, your name on the Novice Champion plaque on the wall

6.16.19 LBLBC Vet / Novice Pairs (Blind Draw)
LBLBC hosted its fourth club tournament of the year on Sunday June 16th. The format was a Vet / Novice Four Bowl Pairs Tournament where the novice was the lead. Teams were selected through a blind draw.
This tournament was a sponsored event. A club member who wishes to remain anonymous has graciously made a donation so that the winning team received $100/person and the second place team received $50/person, third place received $25/person.
Lunch was provided and it still only cost $5 per player. 3 12-end games. Winning places were determined by total match points, total plus points, and total fewest competitor plus points. 3 match points per win, 1 per tie, and 0 per loss. Max 7 plus points.

The third LBLBC tournament of the season held Sunday April 28, the format was changed to a 4-bowls and 3 ten-end games prior to bowling.

3.21.21 - 4.17.21 Vet / Novice Pairs
For the first tournament of 2021, we filled it. 22 men, 10 women. Everybody played a double-elimination bracket, Covid-style; meaning 1 game per week for 5 weeks.
The eventual winners won every match and lost none. The second place team had to navigate through the bottom part of the bracket to earn a chance to compete for 1st.
All-in-all, a successful beginning to our 2021 LBLBC Tournament season.

2.23.20 Men's & Women's Club Singles
For the first tournament of the year. 24 men, 16 women. Everybody played three 15 point games. As there were more men bowlers than rinks available, games had to be staggered.
All winners won all 3 of their games. The place order was determined based upon the most plus points out of a maximum of 7 per game.
Bowling commenced at 8:50 am and the awards presentations finished at 4:00pm. Certificates were awarded to the winners.
