LBLBC will host the 5 Man All-Star, the last Southwest Division Men's tournament of the year. This is the culmination of a year's worth of competitive bowling where each Southwest Division Lawn Bowling Club enters a team of 5 men to compete with one another on Sunday, November 12, 2023 here at our club.
Because there will be 2 games going on at the same time per team and at least 10 teams competing, both greens will be used. The membership is however encouraged to drop by, watch the best men bowlers perform, and cheer on our team.
Open to men whose primary club is LBLBC.
The club will invite the top 6 qualifiers to field a team (5 bowlers and the 6th being the alternate). If a qualifier declines, the next qualifier in line will be invited.

Waterbury Criteria if Laguna Beach wins CL and qualifies:
Originally established by Dr. R.J.Carey of Long Beach in 1959, Coast League is where area lawn bowling clubs compete against one another at each other's lawn bowling club locations. The intent is to encourage inter-club play and offer lawn bowling clubs and their members an opportunity to gain experience on greens of different caliber by visiting other clubs.
The winner of the Coast League is invited to compete in the Waterbury All-League Championship along with the winners of four other SWLBA (Southwest Lawn Bowling Association) leagues. Championship winners will have their names enscribed on the following trophies:
NO HOSPITALITY!! This means there will be no goodies provided by the club unless they voluntarily decide to do so. So, be prepared to bring your own breakfast, snack, and lunch. There will be no chips or salads provided. All that will be provided is water and coffee. (Please figure out a way to identify YOUR bottle of water from the others...maybe bring a rubber band or ribbon to place around it-?)
The Laguna Beach Lawn Bowling Club!
By virtue of winning the 2022 Coast League, Laguna represented the league and came out victorious at the prestigious Waterbury All-League Championship held at Laguna Woods on Saturday, November 12th, 2022.
