LBLBC Memberships are per person. There are no family, household, spousal, or youth memberships. Each person pays for a membership.

There are 2 types of memberships: A Primary Club Member and a Secondary Club Member.

Primary Club Members have elected to designate the LBLBC as their primary club and they may or may not be members of another lawn bowling club.

Secondary Club Members have designated another Bowls USA Lawn Bowling Club as their primary club. Secondary club members currently get a $75 break on the primary club membership fee. 

If you're interested in joining Laguna Beach Lawn Bowling Club, but would first like to try the game before committing to joining, we offer one free introductory lesson to give you an idea if you would like to join. Please contact the club and arrangements for the lesson will be made with one of our certified club coaches. 

Following the first lesson, if you decide that you do want to join, we will need your contact information, and payment of the dues (by either cash, check, or credit cards). Once payment is received, we'll order your name badge which will arrive at the club in less than 2 weeks.

After your 3 lessons are completed, you will receive a key to the club to use at your leisure.

• access to the greens, clubhouse and equipment
• key to the facilities
• participation in club activities, division leagues and tournaments 
• opportunity to play at other clubs all over the world (for the local member fee)
• the ability to invite guests to bowl with you for a guest fee

Primary Club Members:

1. Can vote for board members and ByLaws.
2. Keep a locker at the club if they own their own bowls.
3. Are eligible to be on the board.
4. Are eligible to be Laguna’s 5-Man All-Star Team at the end of the year.
5. Can play on the Waterbury Team should we win Coast League again.

Secondary Club Members:

1. Have all the benefits of a Primary Member except for those above.
2. Pay a lower price to be a member of Laguna Beach Lawn Bowling Club.

New primary club member dues are pro-rated quarterly from the yearly $250.00 dues (see fee schedule below).  * Includes Southwest Division and Bowls USA dues. Secondary club member dues are not prorated.

If you join before the 20th of a month, your membership will commence the 1st day of that month and the fee for that month applies. Similarly, if you join after the 20th of the month, your membership will commence on the 1st day of the following month and the fee for that month applies.

In addition to member dues is an initiation fee of $50 which covers your name badge, club key, Bowls USA booklet, and lessons.

If you're already a member, these fees are applicable throughout the year. No prorated fees except for the last 3 months of the year.

1. One year membership renewal: $250.00
   
   
2. Secondary club membership renewal: $250.00 - $75.00 = $175.00
   You must be a full member of another club (primary). Please indicate the primary club name and phone number with your check or in the PayPal information field for verification purposes.
   
   
3. Returning members (both primary and secondary) renewing in Oct, Nov, or Dec of the current year, pay $100 for the current year and full price for the following year. Approved by Board May 19th, 2021 meeting. (Note: Secondary club discount is considered only on the full membership fee.)

1. For both full and prorated fees, you can pay at the club (after your initial lesson) by check, credit card, or your PayPal account.
   
   
2. For full yearly renewals:  The club can send you an invoice where you can pay by credit card or from your PayPal account.
   
   Or, you can pay at the club by cash, check, or credit card.  If nobody is in the office, simply put your cash or check into an envelope with Membership Renewal and your name written on it, seal it, and drop it into the mail slot at the club.
   
   If paying by check, make it out out to LBLBC and indicate fee type (primary or secondary club) on the check.

Club Policy dictates that all sales are final and no refunds will be issued except for exceptional circumstances as determined and approved by the board. 

1. Persons aged 12 – 20  years of age (youth) can join the club as members only if a parent or parents are members.
   
2. Parents must accompany their youth while at the club. Adults other than parents are not qualified to supervise youth at the club.
   
3. If any youth breaks the rules, the parents are responsible and depending upon the incident, their membership could be terminated with no refunds.
   
4. Youth are not allowed a key to the club until they become 21 years old.
   
5. Youth must complete at least 1 lesson from a qualified club coach and be certified by said coach before they can become members. (It might take 2 or 3 lessons before that happens. Up to the coach. We want to be sure the youth is bowling properly.)
   
6. Membership and renewal fees are the same for everybody at the club.
